hmmm...im going home next sunday....it struck me today so strongly and ive been very thoughtful since then...i was thinking why am i so? shdn't I be happy n excited rather? yeah sure i am....but i was seeing myself at home again...and while doing that i need some time to settle down and check with myself to understand the difference in myself that has taken place in last 1.5 yrs (or rather in last 7 yrs away frm home)...i can see myself getting in the train from mumbai to my same old solapur...my house, parents and ppl arnd...
oh my god, what i was and what i have become now...last few months ive spent only working n partying, all living for myself...pure selfishness! its like ive shut down that window of my mind which used to give me a view of the world i actually live in...its not all that rosy...
there is like a hierarchy of places, may b hierarchy is not the right word, no place is higher or lower than the other...every place has a soul...today i live in the rich world where wealth is ample and i get to see the world famous cities n exotic things i cd ever dream of...im spoilt 'coz of wealth and wellness, my only excuse for doing it is that i wont get this time again in my life ever again..
back in india, in mumbai where i lived for last few years is again a crazy place, that time i dint have so much of money n time, but it still showed me the glamor of the most happening city in india...some real, some fake faces and some real, some fake lives of ppl...in the later yrs in mumbai, i was completely blended with the place as im inherently a very adaptive human being...i learnt the rules of the place and also the loopholes, life doesnt stop for anyone and noone has time to stop for u either...
further going back, my hometwon solapur is a smaller city where things are more innocent, or at least they have been innocent for me...have lived there my entire life, its full of homely feel and ppl who are mostly concerned with the regular household life...where little money is enough to spend a very happy life and people have smaller or easier dreams, mostly concerned with their retirement plans and children's marriage...slow life with lot of security!
further going ahead with this, i was fortunate enough to see the real hardcore countryside in india, never lived in a village though...dad might take me to that little village where my ancestors used to live, its a typically small village in maharashtra, where ppl still live on the farms and the farmers on our farms stay in a small hut with the smell of cow dung all over the place, it was kinda uncomfortable there before but in later yrs i felt it was beautiful, ppl are real, money matters but to a very little extent, life is laidback and future means only the concren abt the next day...can never forget the warmth with which the villagers used to treat us and our farmers lovely wife who used to cook amazing food on that clay-and-wood stove in one corner of the house...
time to relive my memories!!!
