Risky Business
What would you do? Strive for a stable, peaceful, predictable life or dive into an uncertain ocean of opportunities? The world is made of various types, categories or non-categories of people..All sets and subsets intersecting eachother randomly. Then there are various examples of a classic disciplined self-made man who holds a great respect in our society than do the risk takers. Because according to the centuries old protocol, personal initiative, hard work, persistence and talent ofcourse makes the nearly perfect recipe for 'success', again as defined by the norms. Its the modern utopian fantasy of the systematically productive life. Then, in this culture of control there are those hungry to shake it up and let loose. By taking a chance, risk, by giving up the drive for perfect mastery of fate, gamblers recognize what modern prophets of progress so often forget, that the pursuit of happiness defies the attempt to organize it. How can they forget that nearly everything in our life is do to with the 'chance' even from our origin out of the meeting of the sperm with the ovum!!

I could name one guy in awe of the conventional guy with the house and car and kids. Wont name him suffice to say his name starts with 'Prabhu'.

I don't know - I think hopefully a mix of the two - or else life would be too boring or scary...
Just dropped in to say hello, hope you're doing well.
More often than not whether the society reveres or despises you depends on your success or failure that you end up with at the end of the road , no matter what road you take - a smooth uphill ride or a bumpy roller-coaster one.
But most importantly, the difference in the two approaches lies in how YOU are affected when you fail - would you be more/less disappointed if you had been on one particular path? Would you have wished you had taken the other path? Will you able to stage a comeback with the same, if not more confidence?
The bottom line is that no matter which path you take and no matter where it takes you, at the end of it you should have had enjoyed every moment of it. EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF IT! And thats what it's all about :)

can u define success ? if it is influencing ppl and having power, then do we love ppl like hitler, bush, yada yada yada .....

But, in hindsight, we can always say we could have taken the other road. but how can we decide while pursuing any path? if we are pursuing difficult goals, then its more probable that we will fail. So, please sir, she some light.

I dont know if writing in in CAPITAL makes the moment bigger or not. Buts this sentence is kinda trivial and used everywhere. I am not sure if any one of us, enjoys every moment of our life ? Some ppl have lot more hardships, tragedies, to come over. what about them ? I rather see life as a road towards some divine realization, and is full of myseries and sorrows.
I kinda agree with anonymous no. 1, but at the same time believe that 'means are as important as the result', more often than not the journey is more exhilarating than the destination, so who cares abt the society? and wats the society? its bunch of ppl like u n me...so it doesnt matter if someone reveres or despises u or try to quantify ur 'success' or 'failure'...its all subjective!
