Outsiders in your own country!
Its a ridiculously stupid debate that is going on in Mumbai currently. More than a week after his 'anti-north-indian migration to Mumbai' comments, Raj Thackeray is enjoying publicity for all wrong reasons. Civil amenities and other facilities in Mumbai are under pressure because of overconsumption due to innumerable pool of migrants to the city every year. This is obvious because Mumbai and other surrounding big cities are major financial resources and thus major hubs of employment opportunities. People migrate where there is money and resources, so its an obvious outcome. It's unfair to expect citizens of our own country not to move to other states to make a better living. While on one hand politicians are supporting globalization, which is the ultimate concept of integrating the resources into a single society, it doesnt make any sense to protest migration of citizens of our own country. Indians like us who have moved to other countries for education or employment can clearly see the insanity behind such protests. To avoid the scarcity or the problems caused due to overcrowding, there could be ways for redistribution of the resources and thus the employment opportunities, none of which can be achieved overnight as a result of Thackeray's sudden distress. Plus, if his beloved Marathi Manus was not so poor at business skills which run in the blood of so called north Indian migrants, the situation could have been different!
